The best BBQ is the BBQ you make for people you love. Everything else is just technique.

Signature:Pulled pork and brisket smoked over hickory and oak; house-made cocktails with Southern spirits

Anthony DiBernardo opened Swig & Swine in West Ashley in 2013 with a vision of elevating the BBQ experience without losing its soul. His background in both fine dining and traditional BBQ gives him a unique perspective — he understands the craft of smoke as well as any pitmaster in the state, but he also understands hospitality, service, and the importance of a great bar program. Swig & Swine has become the go-to destination for Charleston residents who want serious BBQ in a genuinely welcoming environment.

Philosophy

I want people to come in and be surprised — by the quality of the smoke, by the cocktail program, by the fact that you can get a genuinely great drink alongside genuinely great BBQ.

Technique

DiBernardo uses offset smokers fueled by hickory and white oak. His approach is methodical — consistent temperatures, consistent wood, consistent results.
